15. Cleaning the air filter

Turn OFF the power before starting the work so as to prevent accidents caused by abrupt
start of the sewing machine.

Clean filter ❷ of the control box fan once every
week.
Temperature in the control box rises un-
less the filter is cleaned. As a result, it will
be a cause of trouble (AL-13).
1) Pull screen kit ❶ in the direction of arrow to re-
move it.
2) Wash filter ❷ under running water.
3) Reinstall filter ❷ and screen kit ❶ in the original
positions.
In case there is a belt loop currently held between
the loop pressers and the loop receivers when per-
forming adjustment of the machine, remove the belt
loop. Pressing the standard screen key
the ten key [3], and loop pressers ❶ go up in the di-
rection of A, and loop receivers ❷ come down in the
direction of B. Perform the adjustment after remov-
ing the belt loop.
