4.38 Inner Flip Cover

Replacement Procedure
•
Perform sections 2.1.1 - 2.1.4 of the Base Disassembly Procedure.
•
Perform the Antenna Cover Removal Procedure.
•
Perform sections 3.1.1 - 3.1.2 of the Flip Disassembly Procedure.
•
Perform the Hinge Disassembly Procedure
•
Perform the Main Flex Film Disassembly Procedure
Tools needed to perform the following steps:
•
Style 2A ESD tweezers
NOTE!
1. Obtain a new inner flip cover.
2. Orient the new and old inner flip covers so that the
interior surface of the flip covers are towards you
and the hinge wrapping portions of the covers are
oriented to the bottom.
3. Obtain a new adhesive film that mounts around the
receiver port.
4. Position the adhesive film so that its shape
corresponds to the shape of the recess around the
receiver port of the new inner flip cover.
5. Then place the adhesive film into its recess and press
the adhesive film into place using your finger to
ensure a good adhesive bond to the new inner flip
cover.
6. Remove the protective covering from the adhesive
film around the receiver port.
7. Locate the camera module on the old flip cover.
