Side Key Flex Film Removal

Perform all sections of the Base Disassembly Procedure
Tools needed to perform the following steps:

NOTE!
NOTE!
1. Orient the circuit board so that the dome foil is
towards you and the system connector is oriented to
the bottom.
2. Locate the side key flex film connection on the top
left corner of the circuit board.
3. Disconnect the side key flex film from its mating
connector on the circuit board by using the flat end
of a pry tool or the tip of a pair of style 2A tweezers
to rotate the black bar portion of the connector
towards the connector's center so that the black bar
is in a vertical position.
4. Using the style 2A tweezers, grip the portion of the
side key flex film that extends directly below the
board connector and pull the flex film straight down
out of the board connector.

steps of the following procedure.
The phrase "pry tool" indicates that a nylon pointer, an orangewood stick, or a front opening tool
may be used during this procedure depending on the user's preference.
Do not attempt to pull the side key flex film
out of its board connector by pulling down
on the dome foil covered portion of the flex
film. Disconnecting the side key flex film
in this manner is likely to cause damage to
the side key flex film.
