Note the following about this output:
v The output can contain several thousand lines. Use errClear command to reset the output when
needed. This command clears all error log messages for all director instances on the CP where the
command is issued.
v My_Switch corresponds to what is entered for switchname and is a switch or logical switch event.
v My_Chassis corresponds to what is entered for chassisname and is a chassis event.

fanShow

Use this command to display the current status and speed of each installed fan. The following is an
example of fanShow output.
chassis:admin> fanshow
Fan 1 is Ok, speed is 6993 RPM
Fan 2 is Ok, speed is 6993 RPM

haShow

Use this command to display the control processor (CP) status. The display includes the following
information:
v Local CP state (slot number and CP ID), warm or cold, recovering or recovered.
v Remote CP state (slot number and CP ID).
v High Availability (enabled or disabled).
v Heartbeat (up or down).
v Health of standby CP.
v HA synchronization status.
The following is an example of haShow output.
chassis:admin> hashow
Local CP (Slot 1, CP0): Active, Warm Recovered
Remote CP (Slot 2, CP1): Standby, Healthy
HA enabled, Heartbeat Up, HA State synchronized
Note the following about this output:
v A warm recovery typically does not disrupt traffic flow.
v A cold recovery is usually a result of a reboot of the active CP, which disrupts traffic.
v A lack of HA synchronization can be related to a firmware download in progress or that the device is
recovering from a reboot or power-cycle.

historyShow

Use this command to display the entire history log, which includes insertion and removal events for
field-replaceable units (FRUs), such as blades, power supplies, fans, and world wide name (WWN) cards.
The following is an example of historyShow output.
chassis:admin> historyshow
