Manual Dial
You can send a fax message using the
handset (optional) or receiver of an
external telephone.

Make sure that the machine is in
standby mode.

Carefully place your fax message
in the auto document feeder.

Pick up the receiver.
You will hear a dial tone coming
from the receiver.

Specify the destination.
The destination you specify is di-
aled immediately.
If you misdial the number, replace
the receiver and repeat the proce-
dure from step C.

When you hear a high-pitched
tone, press the { { { { Start} } } } key and re-
place the receiver.
Transmission starts.
If the other party answers the
phone, inform them that you are
sending a fax.
Once the fax is sent, the machine
returns to standby mode.

To stop transmission:
If you want to stop a fax mes-
sage during transmission, press
the {Stop} key, and then remove
the document from the auto
document feeder.
