3.7.2

Internal Fixed Mount SSD Removal

Note: The internal fixed mount SSDs are NOT hot-swappable. Before removing or replacing the drive, you
must first take the server out of service. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the system, turn off the
system by pressing the power button, and unplug the power cord from the system or power outlet.

Power off the system and disconnect the power cable(s).

Remove the system top cover (see

Remove the air duct (see

Detach the SATA and power cables from the SSD.
5.
Loosen the screw on the back of the drive bracket (see Letter A). Then slide and remove the drive bracket
from the chassis (see Letter B).
6.
Unscrew the four screws on the sides (see Letter C). Then slide the SSD away from the drive bracket to
remove it (see Letter D).

Reinstall the air duct (see
