Removing and installing the graphics card

Below as example for the NVIDIA Quadro P5000 graphics card.
Requirement
● The device is open in accordance with section "Open the device. (Page 53)".
● Tx10 screwdriver
● Phillips screwdriver
Procedure
Danger of injury by rotating parts
The fan blades rotate in the self-ventilated graphics card. Even after the device is switched
off, the fan blades continue to rotate for a while. There is a risk of injury at the rotating parts
of the fan, e.g. through cutting.
• Wait until the fan blades come to a standstill.
• Only then should you remove the graphics card.
Removal
1. Remove the two screws
the expansion card.
Also remove the two screws of
the card retainer
outside.
