Replacing a defective hard disk drive in the RAID system

Observe the ESD guidelines. Always replace the drive with a new drive of the same type and
capacity.
Mounting locations for hard disk drives in the RAID1 system
Hard disk drives for a RAID system can be installed internally in the device.
Note
An internal hard disk drive may only be replaced when the device is switched off.
The new hard disk drive can be integrated into the RAID1 system at operating system level
with the RAID software. Synchronization may take several hours, depending on system load.
Replacing a defective hard disk drive in the RAID system
1. Determine which hard disk was reported by the RAID software as defective.
2. Replace the defective hard disk.
3. Replace the defective hard disk with a hard disk of the same type and capacity.
