4. Check:
• Intake solenoid
Damage Replace.
5. Check:
• Intake solenoid resistance
Refer to "CHECKING THE INTAKE SOLE-
NOID" on page 8-195.
6. Check:
• Surge tank
Cracks/damage

INSTALLING THE AIR INTAKE DUCT VALVE

1. Install:
• Air intake duct valve

a. Hook the end of the shaft "a" onto the plate
"1" as shown.

b. Align the tabs "b" on the air intake duct valve
"2" with the cutouts "c" in the air intake duct
"3", and then turn the air intake duct valve 90
clockwise.

Replace.
