ADJUSTING THE THROTTLE POSITION
SENSOR
EWA16690
WARNING
• Handle the throttle position sensor with
special care.
• Never subject the throttle position sensor
to strong shocks. If the throttle position
sensor is dropped, replace it.
1. Check:
• Throttle position sensor
Refer to "CHECKING THE THROTTLE PO-
SITION SENSOR" on page 8-191.
2. Adjust:
• Throttle position sensor angle
TIP
Before adjusting the throttle position sensor, the
throttle bodies must be removed.

a. Temporary tighten the throttle position sen-
sor.
b. Check that the throttle valves are fully closed.
c. Connect the throttle position sensor to the
wire harness.
d. Turn the main switch to "OFF".
e. Simultaneously press and hold the up button
"1" and center button "2", turn the main switch
to "ON", and continue to press the buttons for
8 seconds more.
TIP
"ECU" "3" appears on the display.

select ECU in the display, and then simulta-
neously press the up button "1" and center
button "2" for 2 seconds or more.
TIP
"DIAG" "5" appears on the display.
