4. Check:
• Air cut-off valve
Cracks/damage
5. Check:
• Air induction system solenoid
Refer to "CHECKING THE AIR INDUCTION
SYSTEM SOLENOID" on page 8-192.

INSTALLING THE AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM

1. Install:
• Reed valve plate
TIP
Align the projection "a" on the cylinder head cov-
er "1" with the hole "b" in the reed valve plate.
2. Install:
• Reed valve assembly
TIP
Install the reed valve assembly so that the open
side turns to the exhaust side of the engine.

Replace.

3. Install:
• Reed valve cover
Reed valve cover bolt
10 Nm (1.0 m·kgf, 7.2 ft·lbf)
