4.8.5 GDL Testing
Verify the desired services are activated on the AUX-XM page.
If no other maintenance is required, continue to Section 5.

4.9 GDL 90

Refer to the GDL 90 Installation Manual (560-1049-02) for post installation configuration and checkout
procedures.

4.10 GSA 81

Original Servo(s) Reinstalled
If the removed servo(s) are re-installed in the same position, no software loading is required. This does not
include units that were returned for repair as their software and configuration files are deleted during the repair
testing process.
Continue to Section 4.10.2.
New, Repaired, or Exchange Servo(s) Installed
If a new, repaired, or exchange GSA 81 servo is installed, the correct software files and certification gains must be
loaded to the unit.
Continue to Section 4.10.1.
4.10.1 GSA Software and Configuration (GDU software version 7.01 and later)
1. Insert the Nav III airframe specific G1000 Software Loader Card into top slot of the PFD.
2. Start the G1000 system in Configuration mode, if the system is not already in Configuration mode.
3. Press the CLR key at "DO YOU WANT TO UPDATE SYSTEM FILES?" prompt.
4. Using the FMS knob go to the System Upload page on the PFD.
5. Activate the cursor and highlight the appropriate airframe in the AIRFRAME field.
6. Press the ENT key.
7. Highlight the appropriate GFC 700 Installation Option in the FILE field.
