8. Press the ENT key.
9. Press the CLR ALL softkey.
10. Using the FMS knob select the following files:
•
GDL Software
•
GDL Configuration
Pressing the ENT key will check and uncheck the highlighted software and configuration boxes.
11. Once the desired files are selected press the LOAD softkey.
12. Verify the correct software part number and software version on the SYSTEM STATUS page.
For software/configuration troubleshooting see Section B.4, otherwise continue to Section 4.8.4.
4.8.4 Pre Model Year 2007 Comant CI 2480-400 Antenna Configuration (GDU software version
7.01 and later)
Follow this procedure only if all of the following criteria has been met, otherwise continue to Section 4.8.5:
•
Airplane was manufactured in or before 2006 (check registration)
•
A Comant CI 2480-400 Antenna is installed
•
GDU software version is 7.01 or later
1. Insert the Nav III airframe specific G1000 Software Loader Card into top slot of the PFD.
2. Start the G1000 system in Configuration mode, if the system is not already in Configuration mode.
3. Press the CLR key at "DO YOU WANT TO UPDATE SYSTEM FILES?" prompt.
4. Using the FMS knob go to the System Upload page on the PFD.
5. Activate the cursor and highlight the appropriate airframe in the AIRFRAME field.
6. Press the ENT key.
7. Highlight the Pre Model Year 2007 Comant CI 2480-400 Antenna Configuration in the FILE field.
8. Press the ENT key.
9. Press the LOAD softkey.
