- Connect the battery positive terminal

-Check the starter motor operation.
-If the starter motor is operated, go to the
next steps. If not, repair and / or replace
the starter motor.

Battery is faulty.
Recharge or replace battery.

WARNING:
-A wire for the jumper lead must
have the equivalent capacity as that
of the battery lead or more, other-
wise it may cause the jumper lead to
be burned.
-This check is likely to produce
sparks, so be sure that no flamma-
ble gas or fluid is in the vicinity.
Starter motor is faulty. Repair or
replace starter motor. Refer to
liST ARTER MOTOR" section.
