3.6.17

Sensor Module SMC30 (option K50)

The SMC30 (Sensor Module Cabinet-Mounted 30) evaluates motor encoder signals. The
sensor module transfers the speed and actual position value to the Control Unit via the internal
DRIVE-CLiQ communication interface.
Note
If an encoder fails, the mode can be switched over to "encoderless".
For more information, please refer to "Supplementary component descriptions" on the
converter CD.

3.6.18

Power unit with internal cooling (option K66)

Because no external air is drawn in to cool the power unit, this prevents dirt from the ambient
air from reaching inside the cabinet. The internal air in the power unit is cooled using an air-
water heat exchanger.
3.6.19

Output reactor (option L08)

The output reactor limits the capacitive charge/discharge currents of motor supply cables.
Permissible cable lengths (shielded cables)
Without output reactor
Up to two parallel cables: each 100 m
Three parallel cables: each 80 m
If unshielded motor cables are used, a sine-wave filter must be installed.
