Referencing Calls by Destination ATM Address - Member ID
For easy reference, each ATM address registered at a port is assigned a
member ID. The member ID, which is specific to the CoreBuilder 9000
ATM Enterprise Switch, consists of the port number followed by a
two-digit number of the form 0n where 01 corresponds to the first ATM
address registered, 02 to the second, and so on. For example, the
member ID for the first ATM address registered at port <3.3> is 3301.
The member ID is useful for displaying information about calls that are
associated with the ATM address. For example, if a switched virtual
channel is established through to the LEC whose ATM address is
registered at the port, the member ID can be used to access a virtual
channel to display information about calls on that channel.
IME provides a service to read the Service Registry Table to retrieve the
Access to Service
LAN Emulation Configuration Server (LECS) address. The LECS
Registry MIB
implements the policy controlled assignment of individual LAN Emulation
clients to different emulated LANs by providing the LES ATM addresses.
