This chapter details general commands that apply to the CLI.

configure
Activates global configuration mode

Returns to previous configuration mode
exit
Returns to the previous configuration mode, or exits
the CLI
cli-session-timeout
Enables, disbles or sets a timeout for the CLI or
Telnet session.
ping
Sends ICMP echo request packets to another node
on the network
reset
Restarts the system
show history
Shows the command history buffer
show line
Shows the configuration settings for the console port Exec
This command activates Global Configuration mode. You must enter this
mode to modify most of the settings on the access point. You must also
enter Global Configuration mode prior to enabling the context modes for
Interface Configuration. See "Using the Command Line Interface" on page
1.
