15. Exit service SP1-104 and enter service SP1-103-001. Again, print out a "new"
Color Calibration Test Sheet (
16. Exit service SP1-103-001, and enter service SP1-104 to continue with the
adjustment (
steps 11 through 15) as necessary. Repeat until all the color
gradation scales for the selected print mode (service SP1-102) on the printed
Color Calibration Test Sheet illustrate well-balanced and even color gradations.
17. After examining the final printed Color Calibration Test Sheet and confirming
the results, exit service SP1-103-001 and enter service SP1-105 (ToneCtlSave).
18. Press the Enter key. The message "Execute?" is displayed.
19. Press the Enter key to store your adjustment. Make sure that the message
"Execute OK" is displayed.
20. Repeat the entire gamma mode adjustment, steps 1 through 19, as necessary
for the remaining print modes (Service SP1-102).
21. When completed, properly exit the Service SP mode by selecting "3. End."

Toner Control Set (Service SP1-101)

Service SP1-101 (ToneCtlSet) stores these three sets of printer gamma:
1) Factory setting (Factory)
2) Previous setting (Prev.)
3) Current setting (Current).

ETTING
The factory setting (Service SP1-101-001) is the default setting. If you execute this
SP, the printer gamma returns to the factory setting (the default setting). This is the
setting data shown on each "Default Value" on the Color Calibration Test Sheet.

ETTING
The previous setting (Service SP1-101-002) is the setting that was previously
saved. If you execute this SP, the printer gamma returns to the previous setting.
Note that this is the setting previously saved by Service SP1-105 (ToneCtlSave).

ETTING
The current setting (Service SP1-101-003) is the setting that was last saved. If you
execute this SP (after you have executed Service SP1-101-001 or 2), the printer
gamma returns to the current setting. Note that this is the setting last saved by
Service SP1-105 (ToneCtlSave). This is the color densities as shown on the
"Current Value" gradation scales of the Color Calibration Test Sheets.

If you specify a new setting and execute Service SP1-105 (ToneCtlSave), this new
setting is saved as the current setting. In addition, the previous setting (Service
SP1-101-002) is also updated. Service SP1-105 (ToneCtlSave) does not change
the factory (default) settings (Service SP1-101-001).
