Mixed size originals can be copied together from the ADF.

page 4-8.
When copying double-sided original, be sure to check the binding mar-
gin.
For details, see "Specifying Position of Binding Margin (Margin)" on
page 4-15.

To position the original on original glass

0 For details of the original types available on the original glass, see "Orig-
inals" on page 9-12.
0 The machine will automatically detect the original size positioned on the
original glass, then select an appropriate paper size by Auto Paper Select
function.
0 Be sure to position the original in the specified orientation.
For details, see "Specifying Orientation of Original (Original Direction)" on
page 4-10.
0 Do not place the original weighing over 6.8 kg on the original glass, or do
not press strongly down on an open book placed on the original glass;
otherwise the machine trouble may be caused.
0 For the original of thick books or solid objects, start scanning with the
ADF kept open.
In this case, a bright light may beam through the glass. Be careful not to
look directly at the original glass.
