On ODF, perform a physical loop (station C, user side) on all the channels with the
same bit rate. Referring to the example
are OC-192 and CH3 is 10 GbE, on ODF, perform a physical loop on CH1 and
CH2 client side in Station C.
In Station B (OADM), connect CH1 in physical pass-through.
On ODF, connect the pattern generator/error detector output to the CH1 client
input in station A, and check that the CH1 client output power (station A) is OK
(refer to
Chapter
4,
"SFP and XFP modules optical characteristics" (p.
On ODF, perform a daisy chain in station A, connecting CH1 client output to CH2
client input.
Check that the CH2 client output power (Rx value on the instrument) is OK.
Connect the CH2 client output to the pattern generator/error detector input and
start the stability test: at a given bit rate, check no errors.
