Checking Server Position (ID Switch)

"ID LED" is provided on the front and rear side of a server to recognize which server is to be
maintained when multiple servers are mounted to a rack.
ID LED lights by pressing the ID button of EXPRESSSCOPE
or management module on the rear of the server. Pressing again turns the LED off.
It is also possible to light/turn off the LED from Hardware Locater in the Monitoring menu of
System Web Console, Server Web Console, or Resource Web Console.
It may be necessary to remove the power or interface cable of the server operating properly as
the maintenance work from the rear of the rack is usually performed in a dark and narrow space.
It is recommended to perform the work after checking the position of the server to be maintained
by using the ID switch.
IMPORTANT:
● For A1080a-D model, DC is turned off in both servers by pressing
the Forcible Shutdown button of either one of Server 1 and Server 2.
● To reboot the server after turning DC off forcibly with this DC OFF
button, perform it after turning AC OFF and then ON.
