■ Is the CD/DVD media dirty or scratched?
→ Check if there is no finger print, taint or scratch on the disk surface of the CD/DVD media. If there
is taint, clean the disk surface of the CD/DVD media. If the media still cannot be loaded after the
cleaning, replace another loadable CD/DVD media to check if it can be loaded.
Unable to power off at the blue screen.
→ When turning off the server at the blue screen, keep pressing EPO switch of the management
module on the rear of the server for more than 5 seconds.
Unable to connect to network.
■ Is the cable connected?
→ Check how the network cable is connected. Check also the used cable is compliant with the
network interface standard.
■ Are the setup of the protocol and services completed?
→ Install the dedicated network driver. Check also the protocol setting up of TCP/IP, the
transmitting speed setting and each service are properly set.
Unable to install OS.
■ Is there any data remaining on the disk to install OS?
→ The OS installation may fail if some data is remaining on the created virtual disk. Install the OS
again after executing "Slow Initialize" on Web BIOS.
■ Is the disk recognized?
→ Virtual disk needs to be created for the internal disk of the server.
Configure the disk array.
Unable to check hard disk consistency.
■ Is the RAID level of the logical drive RAID0? Or is the RAID level hot spare disk?
→ RAID0 and hot spare disk cannot be checked consistency since there is no redundancy.
Unable to end POST.
■ Is memory properly installed?
→ For A1080a-S/A1080a-D model, at least one set of two DIMMs must be installed in the
processor memory module.
For A1080a-E model, at least one set of four DIMMs must be installed in the processor memory
module for operation.
