The firmware update process
Step 1
The unit downloads a configuration file from the
provisioning server.

For details about setting the timing of when
configuration files are downloaded, see
2.2.4 Downloading Configuration Files.
Step 2
The unit compares the version number of the
firmware in the configuration file to the unit's current
firmware version.
(In this example, the unit is using version 01.000
and the configuration file specifies version 01.050.)
Step 3
When a newer firmware version is specified in the
configuration file, the unit will download the
firmware from the address specified under
"FIRM_FILE_PATH" in the configuration file.
Step 4
Once the newer firmware is downloaded, it is
applied to the unit and the unit automatically
restarts.

7.4 Local Firmware Update

When an updated version of the firmware is provided on a Web site or other means, you can perform the
firmware update manually using Web user interface programming.
For details about the local firmware update, see 4.7.2 Local Firmware Update.
To manually update the firmware
1.
In the Web user interface, click the [Maintenance] tab, and then click [Local Firmware Update].
2.
Click Browse, select the folder where the firmware file is stored, and specify the firmware file on your PC.
3.
Click [Update Firmware].
