[1.3.172] SMBus

[1.3.173] The S210-MBT2W products must comply with the
Romley Platform common-core SMBUS architecture in order to
maximize BIOS, Patsburg ME Firmware, and ASPEED
AST2300 BMC firmware. This is a requirement in order to mini-
mize BIOS and Firmware code development efforts and
improve validation and product board stability and debugging.
[1.3.174] SMBus Voltage Trans-
lation
[1.3.175] The SNB-EP SMBUS Master Controller voltage trans-
lation devices required for use on the Romley platforms are:
PCA9517A. PCA9517A must be pulled up to the Vcc(b) –high
voltage side.

[1.3.177] The S210-MBT2W Management SMBus Architecture:
This section outlines the platform management SMBUS topolo-
gies and interconnects. It is expected that this architecture will
vary depending on the manageability solution utilized for each
of the various Romley designs.
