2.5 Power & Audio Connector Definition
Please refer to the illustrations below to connect power cord through the supplied power adaptor, and set up
the audio according to the audio pin definition.
2.5.1

Connecting Power

Please refer to the illustrations below to connect power cord through the supplied power adaptor.
To power up the Camera, users could choose either High power over Ethernet or AC 24V. To use
High power over Ethernet, please connect the Ethernet cable to the Camera's Ethernet Port and plug the
other end of the cable into an IEEE 802.3at 60W High Power over Ethernet (HPoE) injector. To use AC
24V, please plug the AC 24V cable into the Camera's Power Connector to power up the Camera.
2.5.2

Connecting Ethernet Cable

Use of Category 5 Ethernet cable is recommended for network connection; to have best
transmission quality, cable length shall not exceed 100 meters. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to
the RJ-45 connector of the network Speed Dome Camera, and the other end of the cable to the network
switch or PC.
In some cases, you may need to use an Ethernet crossover cable when connecting the network
Speed Dome Camera directly to the PC.
Check the status of the link indicator and activity indicator LEDs; if the LEDs are unlit, please check
LAN connection.
2.5.3

Applying Alarm I/O

The network Speed Dome Camera supports 4 digital alarm inputs and 2 digital alarm outputs.
Please make sure the alarm connections are properly wired before starting to configure alarm related
settings on this "Application" page. Please refer to the pin definition table below for alarm system wiring.
