Driving
Starting uphill/downhill
Consideration must be taken to the incline
of the hill and the gross weight of the vehi-
cle/combination when selecting starting
gear on hills.
•
The vehicle can be kept still using the
parking brake or trailer brake.
•
Select a gear.
•
Press the brake pedal.
•
Release the brake once the clutch
starts to pull.
Clutch
The clutch is a "dry plate clutch", i.e. no
converter. Therefore, never allow the clutch
to slip in high gear when pulling away. The
information lamp will come on and a sym-
bol will appear on the display if the clutch
overheats.
Declutching
If a rapid declutching is desired, e.g. in
slippery conditions, the gear lever should
be moved to neutral.
