Gear hold

This function is used in automatic mode
only.
The hold function can be used in all for-
ward gears (1L to 6H).
The hold function marked with an "H" is
located on the gear lever behind position
"A". When the lever is moved to "A", the
hold function "H" is locked to prevent it
from being engaged unintentionally. When
gear changes are not desired (e.g. when
driving uphill), the lever is moved from
"A" to the spring-back position "H". No
further gear change will take place and the
current gear will "remain" engaged. The
display shows an "H".
To return to automatic mode, move the
lever once more towards "H". If the engine
speed drops towards idling, the hold func-
tion will be disengaged automatically and a
lower gear will be engaged. The system
will then return to the programme (E/P)
T4014981
that was active before the hold function
was activated.
Note! There is a risk of over-speeding
when the hold function is used.
