Automatic shifting
The simplest way of driving the vehicle un-
der normal conditions is to use automatic
(position "A"). Gear changing takes place
automatically and the driver can concen-
trate on the actual driving.
When changing gear, the system will con-
trol the clutch, gearbox shifting and engine
acceleration. The system selects the gear
and the time for the gear change for
optimum driving performance based on ac-
celerator pedal position, vehicle weight,
road inclination, vehicle acceleration, etc.
It is possible to select a couple of gears up
or down manually even in automatic mode.
The arrows in the display specify how
many steps it is possible to change up or
down. Use the switch on the side of the
lever to change gear.
Note! When changing a gear, the accelera-
tor pedal should not be released.
