FRONT BRAKE
3.Check:
Brake fluid reservoir 1

Cracks/damage → Replace.
Reservoir diaphragm 2
G
Cracks/damage → Replace.
4.Check:
Brake hose 1
G
Cracks/damage/wear → Replace.

MASTER CYLINDER INSTALLATION

WARNING
Before installation, all internal brake com-
G
ponents should be cleaned and lubricated
with clean or new brake fluid.
Never use solvents on internal brake
G
components.
Recommended brake fluid:
DOT 3 or 4
1.Install
Brake master cylinder
G
Master cylinder holder
G
Brake lever/compression spring
G
NOTE:
Install the master cylinder bracket with the
G
"UP" mark facing up.
Adjust the brake master cylinder to the
G
proper angle, as shown.
First, tighten the upper bolt, then the lower
G
bolt.
