CAMSHAFT INSPECTION

1.Inspect:
Cam lobes
G
Pitting/Scratches/Blue discoloration →
Replace.
2.Measure:
Cam lobes length a and b.
G
Out of specification → Replace.
Cam lobes length:
Intake:
a 36.52 ~ 36.62 mm
<Limit: 36.42 mm>
b 30.201 ~ 30.301 mm
<Limit: 30.1 mm>
Exhaust:
a 36.564 ~ 36.664 mm
<Limit: 36.46 mm>
b 30.216 ~ 30.316 mm
<Limit: 30.12 mm>
3.Inspect:
Camshaft oil passage
G
Stuffed → Blow out oil passage with com-
pressed the air.

SHAFTS INSPECTION
1.Inspect:
Cam lobe contact surface 1
G
Adjuster surface 2
G
Wear/Pitting/Scratches/Blue discoloration →
Replace.

Inspect the two contact areas on the rocker
arms for signs of unusual wear.

Rocker arm shaft hole.
G
Cam-lobe contact surface.
Excessive wear → Replace.
