8 Check for a previous installation of the Fuser
Motor Stall (FMS) snippet using
6250FMSCheck.psx.
Download this snippet from the Partner or
Customer Support web site.
NOTE The printer must be at the Ready state
to receive the snippet.
If the snippet has been installed, a page is
printed containing the lines:
6250FMSCheck.ps has been sent to the
printer! : [219/219]
Power printer OFF then ON to finish check.
If the FMS snippet has not been installed, the
page reads:
6250FMSFix.ps HAS NOT BEEN SENT TO
THE PRINTER! [199]
If the current limiting values were undefined,
the page reads:
PRINTER NOT READY!: [187]
Wait until the printer is in READY State
and resend file.
Has the FMS snippet been installed?
9 Reset NVRAM values for Fuser Motor current
limiting using 6250FMSOrig.psx.
Download this snippet from the Partner or
Customer Support web site.
NOTE The printer must be at the Ready state
to receive the snippet.
Following installation, a page prints with the
lines:
Printer updated to original value: [199/199]
Power printer OFF then ON to finish
upgrade.
If the snippet did not installed correctly, the
page reads:
PRINTER UPDATE UNSUCCESSFUL! [219/
219]
Wait until the printer is in READY State
and resend file.
Are the NVRAM values reset?
