1.2 Connecting Interface Cable
The following procedure describes how to connect by the Token Ring interface.
Procedure

Connect the Token Ring interface cable
to the Token Ring interface connector.

Do not connect the interface cable to the two Token Ring
interface port connectors. This may cause poor trans-
mission or breakdown.
Use only interface cable meant for the network connec-
tion in use.

Turn on the power of the machine.
If necessary, set the following items on the printer control panel (Network/Port>):
IPX/SPX FrameType
q
Token Ring - Transmit Rate
q
Token Ring - Max Packet Size
q
Token Ring - Source Routing
q
For normal use, there is no need to change the default settings of all the items.
