START-UP AND SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION

NSTALLER PARAMETERS
The purpose of these parameters is to adapt the MFP to specific user requirements and to the
telecommunication standards of the country where the MFP is to be installed.
At delivery, each MFP is programmed with the factory test configurations. The installer can obtain a
printed listing of these parameters (MENU * 1 8 8 1, PRINT , SETTINGS).
Remark(s):
It is advised to keep a paper copy of the list of these parameters at delivery.
The access to these parameters is only authorized to maintenance and/or installation technicians.
The MFP is equipped with a set of logic blocks referred to as SOS (Soft Switches).
Each block consists of 8 bits called bit 1 to 8. Each bit can take a value of either 0 or 1.
When a soft switch is tick off, the value is 1 When a soft switch is not tick off, the value is 0.
On the display, a block (from bit 1 to bit 8) is read from right to left (see description).
