Some vendors, e.g. Cisco, implement a type of mutual authentication. That is, the node that
initiates the call requests a user name and password from the far end that they are dialing to.
If the remote node that is dialing in implements mutual authentication set the PPP Options:
Mutual Authen. field to Yes. In the Multiple Link Options: Max Trans Rate field
enter the maximum data transfer rate between your Prestige and the remote dial-in user. The
unit is in bits per second. There are two choices for this field:
♦ 64 - At most, one B channel is used.
♦ 128 - A maximum of two channels can be used.
When the Prestige calls back to the remote dial-in user, the maximum data transfer rate is
always 64. In the Session Options: Edit Filter Sets - Input Filter Sets and Output Filter
Sets fields, you need to select the filter set(s) to filter the incoming and outgoing traffic
between your Prestige and the remote dial-in user. Please keeps in mind that these filter
set(s) only apply to remote dial-in users but not the remote nodes. You can choose from 12
different filter sets. In addition, you can link up to 4 filter sets together for further
customization (e.g., '1, 5, 9, 12'). Please note that spaces and ',' are accepted in this field.
For more information on customizing your filter sets, please see Chapter 8 on Filter
Configuration. The default is blank, i.e., no filters.
