3. Verify that the "Linux USB Ethernet/RNDIS Gadget" is listed in the Device
Manager under the Network Adapters section (described above).
4. Make certain IP protocols are enabled.
5. Type "ipconfig" at a command prompt (cmd.exe) and verify a network interface
for the USB network card exists (it will be a 169.254.X.X address).
6. If there is a network card present, in addition to the USB cable plugged into the
PC, check the Routing table to see if there is a route to 169.254.0.0 on both
Network Interface Cards (NICs). The USB cable will have an address of
169.254.X.Y. If there is a 169.254.0.0 Network Destination with a non
169.254.X.Y Gateway (below), then that route entry needs to be removed.
You may be able to just close Image Studio and unplug the network cable. After
unplugging and plugging back in, wait for the network to come up and then
start Image Studio again.
To remove a Route entry, at the command prompt type "route delete
169.254.0.0 A.B.C.D, where A.B.C.D is the IP address of the standard network
card in the PC and is not 169.254.X.X (below).
