that 8-bit devices that connect to the P-cable leave these signals open:

+DB(12), +DB(13), +DB(14), +DB(15), +DB(P1), +DB(8), +DB(9), +DB(10),
+DB(11). All other signals are connected as shown in Table 4-3.
