LX9000 Version 2.6
Even though there is an automatic fuse in the instrument it is VERY IMPORTANT
to use an external fuse (max. 3A). Power supply cables should use a minimum of
0.5 mm² wires. To prevent damage to the LX9000 digital unit after a short circuit
on the RS485 bus there is an automatic fuse.
If a short circuit occurs then the 57 mm unit will appear not to work anymore. The reason is
not the defect of 57 mm unit – it is due to the hot automatic fuse. Turn off the LX9000
system and wait for the automatic fuse to cool down.

8.1 Installing the LX9000

Prepare the cut-out in the instrument panel according to the drilling template. Position the
LX9000 digital unit in the cut-out in the instrument panel. Tighten the LX9000 digital unit
with attached 2.5 mm screws.
When installing the LX9000 it is not necessary to remove the rotary knobs.
The mounting template is shown in the picture below (not to scale!):
The vario unit should be mounted in a standard 57 mm hole.
