13.3.21.6 Cisco Discovery Protocol

Network
The Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) is a proprietary Data Link Layer network protocol implemented in Cisco networking
equipment and used to share information about network devices.
To view an access point's CDP statistics:
1. Select the

Displays the capabilities code for the device as either Router, Trans Bridge, Source Route
Bridge, Host, IGMP or Repeater.
Displays the configured device ID or name for each listed device.
Displays the local port name (access point physical port) for each CDP capable device.
Supported access point models have unique port configurations.
Displays the model number of the CDP capable device interoperating with the access point.
Displays the access point's numeric identifier for the local port.
Displays the time to live (TTL) for each CDP connection.
Select Clear Neighbors to remove CDP neighbors from the table and begin a new data
collection.
Select Refresh to update the statistics counters to their latest values.
