VERTICAL TERMINATIONS (5" X 8")

MINIMUM: 4 ft. (1.22 m) + cap.
MAXIMUM: 40 ft. (12.19 m) + cap.
VERTICAL TERMINATIONS (with 8" x 6-5/8" Decreaser)
MINIMUM: 6" (152 mm) + Decreaser + 4 ft. (1.22 m) + cap.
MAXIMUM: 6" (152 mm) + Decreaser + 40 ft. (12.19 m) + cap.
RESTRICTOR
A restrictor (included in fireplace components packet) is recommended on all vertical terminations over 6‟ (1.82 m) in length.
Each installation is unique and affected by various factors including venting configuration, altitude and climate. Therefore, after
fireplace installation is complete a restrictor may be required or may need to be removed or modified.
Please refer to page 28 for installation instructions if installing the restrictor in conjunction with the venting.
Page 49 has information on restrictor recommendations depending on burner flame appearance and instructions on installation
after venting is completed.
HORIZONTAL & VERTICAL COMBINATION TERMINATIONS (5" X 8")
MAXIMUM: 20 ft. (6.10 m) horizontal + 20 ft. (6.10 m) vertical + cap. 40 ft (12.19 m) total.
HORIZONTAL & VERTICAL COMBINATION TERMINATIONS (with 8" x 6-5/8" Decreaser)
MAXIMUM: 6" (152 mm) vertical + Decreaser + 20 ft. (6.10 m) horizontal + 20 ft. (6.10 m) vertical + cap.

ELBOWS

For each additional 90° elbow used after the first elbow, 3 ft. (914 mm) must be subtracted from the maximum allowed venting.
For each 45° elbow used, 1-1/2 ft. (457 mm) must be subtracted from the maximum venting allowed.
NOTE: (2) 45° degree elbows may be
used in place of (1) 90° elbow.
