Steering Column Electronics Control Unit J527 - Volkswagen Jetta 2005 Workshop Manual

– Pull steering lock housing and base module of steering column
switch -2- to rear off steering column.
– Take steering lock housing off base module of steering column
switch.
Installing:
– Place the steering lock housing into the basic for the steering
column switch.
– Push base module of steering column switch -2- as far as
possible onto steering column.
– Fit connector -arrow- at reader coil -3-.
– Tighten the new shear head bolts -1- to steering column.
– Tighten the new shear head bolts -1- until bolt heads shear off.
– Install all parts in reverse order of removal.
