Configuring the Thermostat Using the TMI
This chapter describes how to connect the thermostat to your local network and
configure and monitor the thermostat through the web browser using the Thermostat
Management Interface (TMI).

Thermostat Management Interface (TMI) Authentication

The TMI for all Basic Series thermostats requires password authentication prior to
accessing the HTML pages that enable you to control or manage the thermostats. The
username and password for the Administrator account is as follows:
Username: admin
Password: admin (default)
You can change each of this password within the Admin account after the initial
authentication. For more information, see
