Consumable Life Expectancies

The stated life expectancy of each consumable is based on printing with
specific media type, number of color planes, page size, and page coverage
(normal 5% coverage of letter-/A4-size media). The actual life expectancy will
vary depending on these and other printing variables, including continuous or
intermittent printing, ambient temperature, and humidity.
The following messages indicate that a consumable needs to be replaced.

If multiple toner cartridges or consumables are empty at the same time, the
Error light will flash. You can press the left arrow key to scroll through the
error messages or press the right arrow key to start the toner replacement
sequence.

Auto-Image Density Control (AIDC)

The printer periodically pauses for the color calibration procedure (also
known as the Auto-Image Density Control [AIDC] cycle). This process is
provided to ensure reliable printer operation with optimum output quality.
