Agilent MOI for MHL Cables Compliance Tests

5.4.3. Differential Characteristic Impedance

1. Connect DUT (Figure 5-1).
2. Select
Trace
1.
3. Press
Stop
Single.
4. Confirm the measured characteristic impedance is within the limit shown in Table 5-1.
5. Select
Trace 7
and repeat the same operations of step 2 to 4 for the sink end of the DUT
(Sdd22).
Table 5-1 Differential Characteristic Impedance Limit
MHL+ and MHL- Differential Impedance
*1. Connection point and transition area, up to 1 ns distance. A single excursion is
permitted out to 65-125 ohms, no wider than 250 ps.
*2. Cable area, from 1 ns to 2 ns distance.

5.4.4. Common-mode Characteristic Impedance

1. Connect DUT (Figure 5-1).
2. Select
Trace
2.
3. Press
Stop
Single.
4. Confirm the measured characteristic impedance is within the limit shown in Table 5-2.
5. Select
Trace 8
and repeat the same operations of step 2 to 4 for the sink end of the DUT
(Scc22).
6. Confirm the measured characteristic impedance is within the limit shown in Table 5-2.
