4 Replacement Procedures
Installing the Keyboard
To install the keyboard, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-12 to 4-15.
1. Place the keyboard face down on the top cover.
2. Connect the keyboard flexible cable to the connector CN3200 on the system board.
3. Insert the guides of the keyboard support plate first, then place the keyboard support
plate on the keyboard cable.
4. Secure the keyboard support plate with the following screws.
• M2.5×16B
• M2.5×4B
5. Turn the keyboard face up and set it in place.
NOTE: Press lightly around both sides of Space key of the keyboard to stick the keyboard
to the middle frame.
6. Make sure that there is no gap between the keyboard and the edge of the top cover.
7. Secure the keyboard with the following screws.
• M2.5×2.8B
8. Install the keyboard holder and press to secure the latches.
