Note: Make sure that all cables are routed so that they are not damaged when inserting the
fan cage assembly into the server.
Step 7.
Install the air baffle (see "Installing the air baffle" on page 251).
Step 8.
Rotate the power-supply cage assembly back into the server. Press the power-supply cage release
tab and rotate the power-supply cage assembly into the chassis.

Step 9.
Install the side cover (see "Installing the side cover" on page 252).
Step 10. Lock the side cover.
Step 11. Reconnect the external cables and power cords; then, turn on the attached devices and turn on
the server.

Removing the rear adapter-retention bracket

To remove the rear adapter-retention bracket, complete the following steps:
Step 1.
Turn off the server and all attached devices; then, disconnect all power cords and external cables.
Step 2.
Unlock and remove the side cover (see "Removing the side cover" on page 146).
Step 3.
Remove all adapters and place the adapters on static-protective surface (see "Removing an
adapter" on page 217).
Note: You might find it helpful to note where each adapter is installed before removing the adapters.
Step 4.
Open the rear adapter retention bracket.
Step 5.
Press the rear adapter retention bracket and release the top hinge point; then, release the other
hinge point and remove the bracket from the chassis.
