For example, if a SnapcloneStorageVolume command in a job did not execute when the job was run, it
may be because the storage system that contains the disk did not have a local replication license.
IMPORTANT:
HP recommends that you include validation commands in jobs and perform validation tests to prevent or
minimize the effect of license-related issues at run time.
CLUI commands. CLUI commands that run jobs or create implicit jobs behave like job commands.
An event in the job log indicates that the command did not execute due to a licensing issue.

Dynamic capacity management license policy

The DC-Management feature requires an array-based DC-Management license in RSM.
DC-Management license
RSM 3.1 ships with an instant-on license for the DC-Management feature. The instant-on license is valid
for 60 days from the time of install, after which you may request an extension to the license. This license
enables the DC-Management feature for all arrays during the validity period.
When the instant-on license expires, the DC-Management feature is disabled unless a permanent license
is installed. Permanent licenses are installed on a per-array basis.
The DC-Management license can be viewed, retrieved, and added by selecting Tools > Configure >
Licensing.

Security Credentials

Security credentials for the server

To establish and manage replication manager server security credentials, administrators must use the
OS on the management server See security
Solutions Manager installation guide and HP StorageWorks Replication Solutions Manager administrator
guide.
Server security credentials (user name and password) must be provided for the following cases:
GUI logon. To access the GUI, you must enter replication manager security credentials in the
logon window.
Creating a scheduled job event. To schedule a job event, you must enter replication manager
security credentials in the Schedule Job window.
CLUI logon. To access the CLUI via any method other than the GUI, you must enter include
replication manager security credentials in the CLUI logon commands.
Password change considerations
Administrators should carefully plan and coordinate sever security credential changes with replication
manager operations. For example, if the security policy in your environment is to reset passwords every
six months, consider that such changes can result in the following:
Logging on to the GUI is prevented
Scheduled job events are prevented from running.
Logging on to the CLUI is prevented.

Security credentials for enabled hosts

To establish and manage replication manager host agent security credentials, administrators must use
the OS on each enabled host. See security
groups configuration
and the HP StorageWorks Replication
