IMPORTANT:
Before proceeding, coordinate the reboot activities to avoid disruption of host services to others.
1.
Ensure that no replication manager jobs involving the host are running or scheduled to run
during the reboot.
2.
On the enabled host, close applications, as appropriate.
3.
Reboot the host. This clears the device minor numbers for the host memory.
4.
Restart applications on the host, as appropriate.
5.
If necessary, clean up resources that were involved in the failed job.
6.
Rerun the job.

Job with MountEntireVolumeGroup command fails - HP-UX

Problem
A job that replicates and mounts an HP-UX volume group fails at a MountEntireVolumeGroup command
when attempting to mount the volume group on an enabled host. The replication manager logs a
message such as:
Host Volume has unknown or incompatible ...
Explanation / resolution
This can occur when a job is rerun.
If the replication manager discovers an HP-UX volume group at the same time that a job command is
attempting to remove the volume group, an error allows the underlying storage to be unpresented from
the host, even though the volume group is still active.
When the job is run again, the volume group cannot be replicated and the job fails at the mount step
because there is no underlying storage available.
To resolve this issue:
1.
In the replication manager or HP Command View EVA, correct the presentation of the underlying
storage for the volume group.
2.
If necessary, clean up resources that were involved in the failed job.
3.
Rerun the job.

Host volume with PVLinks multipathing

Problem
If the source host volume uses HP-UX PVLinks for multiple paths, a replica will have only one path defined.
Explanation / resolution
When replicating a host volume with PVLinks multipathing, replication manager jobs define only one
path in the replica. If necessary, you can use PVLinks to add paths to the replica after the job is finished.
