The 500-Sheet Feeder

The optional 500-Sheet feeder allows you to use
the 500-Sheet cassette or the Envelope cassette, in
addition to the standard 250-Sheet feeder.
Installing the 500-Sheet Feeder
1. Switch OFF the printer power.

2. Unplug the printer from the AC wall outlet.
3. Remove the power cord from the back of the
printer.
4. Unpack the 500-Sheet feeder and place it on a
flat stable surface.
5. Remove the cardboard packing filler inside
the feeder.

6. Remove the three pieces of tape on top of the
unit. One contains the feeder joints used in
step 13.
7. Install the paper cassette in the feeder.
8. Face the front of the printer.
9. Lift the printer and position it over the 500-
Sheet feeder.
WARNING! The printer weighs
approximately 28 lbs. not including
options or consumables. Use care when
you lift the printer.
10. Carefully align the corners of the printer with
the corners of the feeder.
11. Slowly lower the printer onto the 500-Sheet
feeder, making sure the two pins located on
the left side of the feeder and the single pin
