3. Gently lift out the toner cartridge.
WARNING! Do not touch the fuser unit. It
may be extremely hot. The fuser unit is
clearly labeled and located behind the
toner cartridge area.
4. Rock the toner cartridge gently five or six
times to redistribute the toner.
Redistributing the Toner
Note: Rock the cartridge in the direction
indicated in the illustration. While rocking,
take care not to touch the drum protection
shutter located underneath the toner
cartridge.
5. Replace the cartridge by holding the cartridge
as shown and pushing the cartridge in until it
stops, then push in on both sides of the car-
tridge to make sure it is seated correctly.
6. Close the top cover.
If you cannot close the top cover, you may
have incorrectly installed the toner cartridge.
Remove the cartridge and reinstall it.
