Relocating the Printer
Follow these procedures when relocating your
printer within the general area. If the printer is to
be relocated some distance away, repack the
printer in the original shipping box.
1. Switch OFF the printer power.
2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
3. Remove the power cord from the back of the
printer.
4. Close the Multi-purpose tray.
5. Press the release button and open the top
cover.
6. Remove the toner cartridge and place it inside
the foil bag it came in, or cover it with a thick,
black cloth. Keep the cartridge level to avoid
spilling toner.
Note:
If the toner cartridge is not
removed before moving the printer, the
inside of the printer will be stained with
toner.
7. Remove all installed options such as the 500-
Sheet cassette.
8. Face the front of the printer.

9. Hold the printer as shown in the illustration,
and carefully lift the printer.
WARNING! The printer weighs
approximately 28 lbs. Use care when
lifting the printer and ask for assistance.
